ABOUT ME

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with a Doctorate in Social Work and certification in Perinatal Mental Health. With nearly two decades of clinical experience, I offer compassionate and supportive therapy for adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My background includes many years as a school social worker, where I supported students and families through counseling, crisis intervention, and community outreach. I also have experience in nonprofit work and case management, which deepened my understanding of the complex challenges people face in their daily lives across the lifespan. During my doctoral studies at Rutgers University, I focused on the impact of childhood trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on brain development, behavior, and school performance. As part of this work, I created a trauma-informed guide for educators, available here.

TREATMENT APPROACH

My approach is grounded in both expertise and empathy, and acknowledges the interaction between past experiences, current challenges, and future goals. Psychotherapy offers the opportunity to better understand your relationship with yourself and others, and to navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence. I believe in the importance of openly exploring thoughts, emotions, and experiences. This kind of free expression fosters deeper self-understanding and promotes healing, personal growth, and increased self-awareness. Throughout our work together, I may offer reflections that gently highlight patterns, emotional connections, and underlying dynamics. These insights can help you make sense of thoughts, behaviors, and experiences—creating space for meaningful and lasting change.
